What is a full lunar eclipse? (Total lunar eclipse)
During the orbit of the Sun, when the Earth comes between the Moon and the Sun, the Moon hides from the shadow of the Earth. During this time, the Sun, Earth and Moon are in direct line of each other. When the Earth comes between the Sun and the Moon on the full moon day, its shadow falls on the Moon. During this time, when we see the moon from the earth, then that part of us is seen black. For this reason, it is called a lunar eclipse.
Super blood moon will be seen today
Today’s moon has been named super blood moon. Since the entire moon will be at the nearest point of the earth today, the moon will be larger today than the moon seen everyday. Today, there is also a full lunar eclipse, so its color will appear in red. Actually, the earth stops the rays of the sun falling on the moon. During the lunar eclipse, the remaining red rays during sunrise or sunset reach the lunar surface through the earth’s atmosphere. Therefore, during the eclipse, the moon starts to appear red to us. This is called the blood moon.
